I know it's not really justice until the courts make a decision, but the announcement by the DA and the Santa Fe Sheriff's Office that Alec Baldwin will actually be charged sends a powerful message to rogue film companies that New Mexico will not tolerate willful, egregious violations of film set safety, particularly as they pertain to remote location shoots. I wasn't expecting this, but I am deeply grateful for their hard work. I suggest people call or email the Sheriff's Office thanking them for their tireless and painstaking commitment to build a solid case on behalf of the state.
